Wichita market steps up to feed families as SNAP benefits cut during government shutdown

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) — A Wichita business is stepping up to help neighbors who are struggling to afford groceries as the government shutdown continues into Day 36.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says that because of the ongoing shutdown, SNAP benefits for November will only be partially funded, amounting to about half of the usual amount for millions of Americans.
