Community groups and advocates for the unhoused are pushing back hard against a new RV parking restriction rule in San Francisco.
The rule, which officially took effect this past weekend, states that RVs without a permit can’t park in one spot for more than two hours.
Some say the rule lacks transparency and better protections for people in RVs who simply have nowhere else to go.
"We’re really worried because they missed a lot of people and they closed the permitting process," said Jennifer Friedenbach with the Coalition on Homelessness. "We’re really worried that folks will get towed and they will lose their RVs and end up on the streets."
