New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has taken a sharp jibe at US President Donald Trump in his victory speech. The 34-year-old leader will become New York City's youngest mayor since 1892.
In his victory speech, Mamdani also thanked the city residents for electing him as the first Indian-American Muslim and the youngest mayor of the city.
Mamdani, who entered the mayoral race in 2024, secured his win over former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican nominee Curtis Silwa.
