CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Abigail Spanberger’s historic win in Tuesday's gubernatorial election was part of a massive Democrat sweep not only in the commonwealth but elections across the country.

"This is one of the biggest landslides in Virginia in my lifetime," said Larry Sabato with UVA’s Center for Politics.
