CARBONDALE — Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton visited Carbondale on Wednesday to meet with several professionals in the healthcare industry, including hospital and system administrators and personnel.

Stratton hosted a roundtable discussion to learn the needs of rural healthcare providers. Topics discussed include the impact of cuts to Medicaid, limited access to transportation and how the surrounding environment affects hospitals in our region.
