The Portland Trail Blazers’ Blake Wesley could be out until the end of January, according to a press release released by the organization.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Blake Wesley underwent successful surgery today to repair a fracture of the fifth metatarsal base in his right foot. The procedure was performed by Dr. Martin O’Malley at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
Wesley will begin his rehabilitation immediately and is expected to be sidelined for 8–12 weeks.
The guard out of Notre Dame has appeared in six games for Portland, averaging six points, 1.7 steals, 3.2 assists and 2.3 boards in 16.3 minutes per game. He injured his foot during Portland’s 109-107 win over the Denver Nuggets last Friday.
