PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. — A small restaurant in Pickens County is serving up more than food during the government shutdown -- it’s delivering kindness.
The Rolling Snackle Box, located on Highway 53 in Tate, Georgia, has started a “pay it forward” program to help anyone struggling to afford a meal.
Customers can buy an extra meal when they order and post the receipt under the restaurant’s “Pay It Forward” sign. Anyone in need can then take a ticket from the wall, bring it to the counter and receive a free meal, no questions asked.
