PROVO CITY, Utah (ABC4) — Marsha Judkins has overtaken incumbent Provo City mayor, Michelle Kaufusi, by a narrow margin in the latest vote counts in the Provo mayoral race.

As of the latest vote count update at 7:55 p.m. on November 5, 66 out of 66 precincts report that Marsha Judkins is ahead in the election results with 7,153 votes. Kaufusi, who has been the mayor of Provo since 2017 is behind at 7,094 votes.

Results are still not official, and this race is still too close to call. As of election night, Kaufusi was in the lead, but it was a very small margin.

Utah County Clerk Aaron Davidson told ABC4 that 41,000 votes have yet to be processed. Davidson says the ballots were expected to be processed by 8 p.m. Wednesday night, and these updated counts include at least some of those vot
