BOWLING GREEN, Ky . – It’s that time of the week to reveal the Player of the Week on the Hill.

This one should come as no shock… it’s WKU football quarterback Rodney Tisdale Jr.

The redshirt freshman helped lead Western to the team’s first Homecoming win since 2021 this past Saturday over New Mexico State.

In the 35-16 victory, Tisdale Jr. threw for 301 yards for four touchdowns while completing 79% of his passes (30-for-38).

This was just the second career start for the Jacksonville, Florida, native.

And his first career start was about as memorable as any career start can get, with Tisdale Jr. leading WKU to an overtime win on the road at a LA Tech on October 21.

His stellar debut against the Bulldogs earned him the CUSA Freshman on the Week award, and the league was so impressed
