HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio —
The Ohio House of Representatives has passed a bill that would designate a section of Interstate-275 in Hamilton County as “Deputy Larry Henderson Memorial Highway.”
Henderson was killed when he was hit by a car while directing traffic for a graduation ceremony at the University of Cincinnati in May. Advertisement
Henderson served with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for 33 years before he retired in 2024. He continued to work details after his retirement.
Henderson was a 1985 graduate of Mariemont High School. After serving in the Marines, he returned home to serve his community as a sheriff's deputy. He was a member of several specialized units, including the Dive Team, SWAT, FBI Task Force Office and the HCSO Bomb Unit.
