PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- University of Oregon women's cross country head coach Shalane Flanagan received her second consecutive Big Ten Coach of the Year award after leading the women of Oregon to the 2025 Big Ten Cross Country title and setting a new meet record.

The Ducks not only swept the top three, but scored a Big Ten low of 18 points at the championships. They had six of their athletes in the top nine, including a big win from Diana Cherotich. The USTFCCCA national coaches poll was released earlier this week and had Oregon as the No. 4 team in the country.

The Marblehead, Mass., native had two of her athletes selected for the Sportsmanship Award in cross country, which recognizes student athletes who exemplify hard work, sportsmanship and honorable behavior.
