Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that MS Dhoni will play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season and maintained that the former India captain has no immediate plans to retire. Speaking to his grandson Noah in Provoke Lifestyle magazine, the CSK CEO said: “No, he is not retiring for this IPL.” Meanwhile, when asked about Dhoni’s retirement plans, he responded with a smile, saying, “I’ll check with him and let you know.” CSK had a dismal IPL 2025, as the five-time champions won just four out of 14 matches, finishing at the bottom of the standings for the very first time in the tournament’s history.
