Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Viswanathan has said that the franchise is confident MS Dhoni will be available for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. The 44-year-old veteran has been the cornerstone of CSK since the league’s inception in 2008. Under his leadership, CSK clinched five IPL titles — in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023 — along with two Champions League T20 trophies in 2010 and 2014.
A participation in the 2026 season will mark Dhoni’s 17th year with Chennai Super Kings and 19th overall in the IPL. The only exceptions were the two seasons he spent with the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant, during CSK’s suspension along with the Rajasthan Royals.
