A new app meant to help residents navigate the ever-changing parking rules in San Francisco is in the works.
Essentially, it might save them from getting a parking ticket.
The app is called Ticketless, and it's being created by an engineer who lives in the outer Richmond.
The app will use the user’s location to detect where they parked, tell them what the rules are, and when they might be at risk of getting a ticket.
Right now, the app is wait-list only and there's already about 1,000 people on the list.
But its creator, Abdullah Zahid, hopes to get a beta version out for people to use in the next few weeks.
Zahid joined NBC Bay Area to talk more about the app. What the interview in the video player above.
