Roswell candidates who were elected in the 2022 Municipal Officers Election, now handled by Chaves County, and have gone on to make changes at Roswell City Hall will be back for additional terms as a result of the 2025 Regular Local Election that culminated on Tuesday.
Roswell Mayor Timothy Jennings was elected to serve a second term in office, according to the Secretary of State website. Chaves County voter turnout was 21.36%, lower than the overall state voter turnout of 24.94%.
Jennings garnered a healthy plurality of the total turnout with 2,626 votes, or 44%. Two of the other contenders each received 21%: Christopher Hensley received 1,258, and Larry Clark had 1,206 votes. Eva Tellez, who did very little campaigning, collected 799 votes, or 14%.
