ANKARA (Reuters) -Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Thursday that the moderate trend in economic activity is continuing, with moderate growth expected in 2025 similar to 2024, while disinflation was expected to continue in the coming period.

In a presentation to parliament's planning and budget commission, Simsek said the government anticipated that disinflation will continue in the coming period driven by tight monetary policy and supportive fiscal policy.

He added that proposals were expected to be submitted to parliament for reforms on public procurement and state-owned enterprise governance reform, as well as local government financial rules.
