A south-western Sydney family has been reunited with the emergency workers who helped safely deliver their baby girl in their home gym.

Baby Victoria's unexpected birth occurred on March 6, when her parents' family's home gym was transformed into a makeshift birthing suite.

Mother Maria had been discharged from hospital about one hour before the birth. However, her labour progressed rapidly, and she and husband Dean had to call triple zero.

Call taker Grace MacWilliams provided guidance to Dean throughout the delivery process, saying, "Ok, so do not try to prevent the birth, tell her not to cross her legs," and "Allow her to resume the most comfortable position and have her take deep breaths between the contractions".
