42.31 per cent of 3.75 crore voters exercised their franchise till 1 pm in the first phase of Bihar assembly elections on Thursday.

Gopalganj district recorded the highest polling percentage so far at 46.73, closely followed by Lakhisarai (46.37) and Begusarai (46.02).
