YOUNGSTOWN For the second morning in a row, Youngstown detectives are investigating a violent crime.

Police tell 21 News that a male was shot on North Belle Vista Avenue on the city’s West Side at around 1 a.m. Thursday.

The victim was taken to Mercy Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Investigators are still working to find out who shot the victim and the circumstances that led up to the shooting.

The shooting comes about 24 hours after a man was stabbed on McGuffey Road on Youngstown’s East Side.
