Amid the controversy over the Asia Cup trophy, the Board of Control for Cricket in India reportedly prepares to file new complaints against the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, during the ICC meeting in Dubai. According to sources quoted by Telecom Asia Sport, the BCCI has prepared a list of charges questioning Naqvi’s eligibility to hold multiple public and cricket administrative portfolios simultaneously. Apart from PCB, Naqvi is also the president of the ACC, while also serving as the Interior Minister of Pakistan, a combination the BCCI argues is a breach of ICC’s governance norms.

There are also reports that the ACB has backed India’s stance, especially since relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have deteriorated in the aftermath of a recent military strike
