The UK Health Security Agency ( UKHSA ) has issued a crucial alert to help prevent the spread of infections. This warning comes amid concerns about an early increase in flu cases and the risk of a prolonged and challenging winter for the NHS . ‌

Coughing into a tissue, regular handwashing and staying at home when feeling unwell were among the agency's recommendations. The UKHSA, which primarily focuses on England, also advised people to 'consider wearing a mask' if they feel under the weather when needing to go out. ‌

"Feel yourself coming down with something?", the Government agency wrote in an X post today. "Help stop common infections like flu from spreading with this checklist for you and your family." ‌
