Florida basketball will host North Florida for its home opener this week.

The Gators (0-1) are set to face the Ospreys at the O'Connell Center on Thursday, Nov. 5. This will be the third time UF has hosted North Florida (0-0) in its home opener.

UFs has won all 11 prior matchups vs. the Ospreys, including last season's 99-45 victory in Gainesville.

"There's a lot of new from last year," Florida coach Todd Golden said. "They're a unique team the way they play. They want to spread you out, want to shoot a lot of threes. You know, I think they're going to try to take advantage or manipulate the fact that we play bigger and see if they can get some advantages that way."
