Growing allegations of rampant corruption and extortion in negotiating government contract work, supply and over transactions in land have taken new turn with the Amarpur unit of the Tripura Contractors Association (TCA) accusing the ‘Tipra Motha’ MLA of Ampi (41) constituency of demanding and extorting at least 10% of the total monetary of contract work in advance. In a just-tendered work worth Rs 35 crores Pathan Lal stands accused of having demanded 10% of the value in advance.
