TRAVERSE CITY — Mancelona Public Schools posted a note on social media Wednesday afternoon from the Ironmen. It was a thank you to local voters.
“We are grateful for your investment in our students, staff and school,” reads the post, referencing Tuesday’s Election Day results. The district asked voters in Antrim and Kalkaska counties two questions — to renew the district’s operating millage with a Headlee restoration and to create a sinking fund for the purchase, construction or repair of school buildings and school security improvements.
