The Sioux Falls School District has set a timeline for a bond election to be held in 2027 that will, in part, construct a new Whittier Middle School.
Assistant superintendent Daniel Conrad said during a school board work session Nov. 5 that by December this year, a comprehensive list of projects that different schools across the district would like to see completed will be created.
Factors influencing the projects will include the district’s potential growth over the next decade, facility efficiencies, equipment and technology projects that need funding, evaluations of current facility standards, and a review of projects identified in the 2018 bond cycle that weren’t pursued at the time.
By January, a comprehensive capital improvement plan steering committee will be established, which
