BARAMULLA, Nov 6 : The Baramulla Police has launched an advanced safety application, a strategic initiative designed to provide real-time security for journalists and 14 other vulnerable groups through instant police coordination and rapid emergency response.

Dubbed the “Baramulla Safety App,” the platform establishes a direct communication channel to a synchronized police command center. Its central feature is a high-alert emergency mechanism that enables registered users to trigger an immediate alert with a single press of an SOS button.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Gurinder Pal Singh (IPS), informed Kashmir Convener that the application’s protective coverage extends to 15 designated categories.
