Armed police were called to an Asda in Derby after a woman was stabbed. ‌

The victim, a woman in her 40s, suffered an injury to her arm and hand during the incident on Wednesday afternoon. She was taken to the hospital where she remains, and her injuries are not life-threatening. ‌

Officers are searching for the suspect, who is also believed to be a woman in her 40s and known to the victim, the Mirror reports. ‌

A police manhunt is underway.

The force wanted to trace the woman in connection with the incident, and asked anyone with dashcam footage - or if they were witness to the attack - to contact them directly, or to contact Crimestoppers. ‌
