It's hard to move on, but the Toronto Blue Jays have to start preparing for next season after getting their hearts ripped out in Game 7 of the World Series.
Thursday is an important day across Major League Baseball, and the Blue Jays have had far less time to prepare for it than most. It's the de facto date after which teams need to have their initial 40-man rosters set, as qualifying offers are due and players must be activated from the 60-day injured list.
It's essentially the roster cleanup phase of the offseason, and though they likely aren't done, the Blue Jays handled one piece of business on Wednesday by removing one of their pitchers from that roster.
