Armed man hacked a 40-year-old businessman to death while he was alone at his house in Anekal on Tuesday.

The deceased identified as Madesh,a resident of Kachanayakanahalli and a native of Barandur near Denkanikottai in Tamilnadu.

Senior officer told reporters that Madesh was alone at home when the assailants barged in armed with a knife and an air gun,attacked him with weapons,slit his throat before fleeing the spot .

Few residents hearing the commotion came to the rescue and tried to stop them, but the accused assaulted them and managed to flee .

Upon receiving the alert,Hebbagodi police rushed to the spot and recovered an air gun,knife,metal detector,torch, helmet,and a bag left behind by the accused.Fingerprint experts and a dog squad were pressed into service to assist in the inve
