Actor Emraan Hashmi, who made a memorable cameo in Aryan Khan’s directorial - 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood', believes the Netflix series was strong enough for a theatrical release. He commended Shah Rukh Khan’s son for a bold, unconventional debut, calling the project "politically incorrect" in the most positive manner.

Emraan, in an interview with Pinkvilla , said, "You know, the first episode takes some time to get you in. But once you’re in for the ride, it’s like—wow. This is something unlike anything you’ve ever seen. It’s so politically incorrect. It should have come out in theatres. This would have done 600–700 crore at the box office."
