As per inputs, Acharjee had been illegally practising as a doctor for over two decades.

Continuing its crackdown on individuals posing as medical professionals, Cachar Police today arrested another fake doctor bringing the total number of arrests to 18.

The arrested fraudster has been identified as Dr. Sekhar Acharjee, a resident of Pailapool Laboc Road under Lakhipur constituency.

As per inputs, Acharjee had been illegally practising as a doctor for over two decades.

During the search operation, police also recovered several fake documents and certificates from his possession.

Earlier, last week, several journalists who helped expose the fake doctor network have reportedly received online threats and abusive comments, drawing widespread condemnation from media circles.
