The Left coalition achieved a clean sweep in the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) elections, securing all four top positions on Thursday.

Aditi Mishra from the Left Alliance won the JNUSU president’s post with 1,861 votes, defeating ABVP candidate Vikas Patel, who secured 1,447 votes. Her victory margin reflects the students’ continued confidence in Left-led politics at JNU.

Left Unity’s K Gopika secured the vice president post with 2,966 votes, defeating ABVP’s Tanya Kumari, who garnered 1,730. The outcome reflects Left Unity’s firm hold over the student body.

It was a nail-biting finish for the General Secretary post, where Sunil Yadav of the Left alliance narrowly triumphed over ABVP’s Rajeshwar Kant Dubey. Yadav polled 1,915 votes to Dubey’s 1,841,
