A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 19-year-old woman.

The woman was found with serious injuries after police were called to Park Street in Oldbury just before 9.50pm last night (November 5).

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

West Midlands Police has arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

He remains in custody today (November 6).

The force said the suspect is believed to be known to the woman.
