A Columbus, Michigan, man was in police custody after allegedly opening fire at a Lapeer County business Wednesday morning, then fleeing police.
One person was hospitalized in the initial workplace shooting, Almont police said. Authorities were unsure of their condition Wednesday night.
Almont police said officers from their department and several other agencies were dispatched to an Almont Township business at about 8:20 a.m. after receiving a report of an active shooter.
Authorities have not identified the business by name. According to a WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) report , police had set up a crime scene at Trims Unlimited, an automotive wrap manufacture located on M-53, north of the Village of Almont.
