ROCHESTER, Minn. — Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota has renamed its Rochester shelter to better reflect its mission and services.
The Rochester Community Warming Center is now called the Catholic Charities Overnight Shelter – Rochester.
John Meyers, Executive Director of Catholic Charities, emphasized the importance of the name change. "We know there is no perfect name for services that continue to evolve with the needs of the community," Meyers said. "But this new name will help us better tell the story of the work happening inside our shelter every day."
The shelter operates year-round, providing safety, shelter, and dignity to those experiencing homelessness. To celebrate the name change, an open house event will be held on November 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the shelter located
