LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Potter Park Zoo is taking the wraps off its new Animal Health Facility on Thursday.

Officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday morning to mark the grand opening of the facility, which officials say will “exceed current AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) standards and represent a leap forward in animal care and education.”

Located near the zoo’s entrance, officials say the facility will “offer guests a closer look at the fantastic work performed by our dedicated veterinary team through viewing windows of the treatment, surgery, and laboratory rooms.”
