Millions of New Yorkers are still without their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits this month, even after the Trump administration said it would distribute partial payments — and recipients could be waiting awhile longer.

Mixed messages have been sent by President Donald Trump in recent days on the status of SNAP funding distribution after a court order demanded the USDA use contingency funds to pay for the benefits during the ongoing government shutdown.

Trump initially announced partial November SNAP payments would be sent out before appearing to contradict that in a Nov. 4 Truth Social post , saying the administration wouldn't pay until the shutdown ends.
