BOARDMAN A woman told police an unknown man attacked her with an object and his fists in her driveway on South Avenue on Monday evening, according to a police report.

The victim told police she was at her home on South Avenue late Tuesday, playing cards with friends. She said she left just before 8 p.m. to pick up her daughter from work.

As the woman was getting into her car, an unknown male approached her from behind and struck her twice on the right side of her body with a metal object, which she believed to be a pipe.

When the victim turned around to face the man, he struck her in the face with a closed fist two or three times. The attack ended when a neighbor turned on a front door light, causing the man to run away.
