Micah Parsons has paid tribute to former Dallas Cowboys teammate Marshawn Kneeland after his tragic death aged 24.

The Green Bay Packers standout played alongside the defensive end until his trade earlier this season and joined a wave of tributes.

"I'm sorry lil brother I hope you find peace," Parsons posted on his Instagram Stories alongside a black and white photo of Kneeland and broken heart emojis.

The Cowboys confirmed the second-round pick's passing on Thursday morning.

“It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning,” a team statement read.

“Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family.”
