A man aged 80 was pulled to the ground in a shocking Manchester city centre robbery, police have revealed.

Greater Manchester Police have now issued CCTV images capturing three males officers want to speak with in connection with the attack.

It happened on Birchin Lane, on the edge of the Northern Quarter .

There are no reports that the pensioner was injured in the robbery.

Police said the man was 'pulled to the ground' then attacked as he walked by a group described as being 'late teens'. His wallet was taken and his card later used at a shop.

The attack happened at around 10pm on July 9, but details have only just been released by the force.
