A van driver heading the wrong way down a one-way Greenwich Village street Thursday morning fatally struck a 27-year-old woman in the crosswalk, police said.

The 61-year-old driver of a black GMC Savana was zipping west against traffic on Morton St. when he struck the victim in the crosswalk at Seventh Ave. South about 8:30 a.m. cops said.

Medics rushed the pedestrian to Bellevue Hospital, where she died about 40 minutes later, police said. Her name was not immediately released.

The driver remained at the scene and was being questioned by police.

Records show 65 violations involving the van’s New Jersey plates plate number, 53 of them in Manhattan. Forty-nine of the violations are for parking, with seven for speeding and one for running a red light, the records show.
