COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police are investigating after a crash injured one person and temporarily shut down a local roadway.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers were dispatched at 3:28 a.m. Thursday to the intersection of Nevada Avenue and Dublin Boulevard.

Police said a single vehicle was traveling southbound on Dublin at a high rate of speed. The passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries from the crash.

The southbound lanes on Dublin Boulevard heading onto Nevada Avenue were closed for several hours as officers investigated the crash.

CSPD’s Major Crash Team responded and is leading the investigation into the incident.
