REDWOOD CITY, CA — Scientist Cameron Johnson discovered the cure to cancer this week, but no one saw the information because he posted it on Threads.

Johnson reported being thrilled by his discovery and rushed to share his research with the world, but his paper wasn't viewed by a single person after he posted it on Meta's alternative platform to X.

"I thought at least someone would see it," Johnson said. "I use Threads because I don't like Elon Musk and don't want to support X, but I guess no one is on Threads. The research is ground-breaking…someone needs to see it, but I just can't seem to get the word out."
