STERLING TOWNSHIP, Ohio —
One person has been hospitalized with serious injuries after a hit-and-run Wednesday night in Brown County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say it happened on State Route 286, near the intersection of Upper Five Mile West Road in Sterling Township, around 8:21 p.m. Advertisement
Authorities say a 30-year-old was found on the roadside suffering from serious injuries. Troopers say they determined that the pedestrian was hit by an unidentified vehicle that fled the scene of the crash.
A passenger's side mirror was located at the scene, according to troopers. Officials say the suspect vehicle is believed to be either a Chevrolet or GMC full size pickup.
The pedestrian was taken to UC Medical Center by air care with serious injuries.
