EAST BOSTON, Mass. —

Boston Logan International Airport is among the dozens of airports nationwide that will be subject to flight reductions ordered by the Federal Aviation Administration starting Friday, Massport confirmed.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced air traffic will be reduced by 10% in 40 markets to maintain safety during the ongoing government shutdown . In Boston, that could impact dozens of flights daily.

Massport spokesperson Benjamin Crawley said airport officials in Boston are working with the FAA and the airlines, but as of Thursday, they had little available information about how flights will be affected.
