Flights at Pittsburgh International will continue as scheduled — for now — after the airport did not appear on the Federal Aviation Administration’s list of 40 airports that will have their service reduced later this week amid the government shutdown.
The FAA’s list includes many of the country’s largest airports, among them Philadelphia International, Chicago O’Hare, New York LaGuardia and Los Angeles International, according to the list obtained by ABC News.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said in a news conference on Wednesday that the airports will have around 10% of their flights cut as air traffic controllers continue to go without paychecks.
