Pitt football might not be taking the field this week, but that doesn't mean it can relax during Week 11 of the college football season. Having surged back into the ACC championship race with five straight wins, Pitt will have its eye on the rest of the league and the many tiebreakers that will come into play as the expanded league deals with a crowded group of contenders.

The first tiebreakers spelled out in ACC bylaws updated when Cal, Stanford and SMU entered the conference are straightforward — if the two tied teams played one another, the tiebreaker goes to whichever team won.
