Glasgow City Council introduced three new 'Firework Control Zones' this year, where fireworks are completely illegal for the 10 days surrounding Bonfire Night.
But locals in the areas - Pollokshields, Govanhill and Broomhouse - seem divided on whether the restrictions have done much to reduce the noise, smoke and disturbance of fireworks.
Setting off fireworks is completely illegal in each of the control zones in the period of November 1 to November 10, excluding sparklers, which are still allowed.
Even launching a firework into a control zone from outside its boundaries is illegal, and can result in up to six months in prison and a fine of up to £5000.
