BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) - KX News received a statement from Minot International Airport regarding the Federal Aviation Administration’s directive to reduce staffing at select U.S. air traffic control facilities.
The airport’s control tower is staffed with contract employees, not federal staff, and therefore falls outside the scope of the FAA’s 10% workforce reduction affecting 40 facilities nationwide.
While Minot’s operations remain unchanged, passengers traveling to or from cities with direct connections, including Minneapolis (MSP), Denver (DEN), and Las Vegas (LAS), may experience delays or cancellations due to staffing changes at those larger hubs.
