MINOT, ND (KXNET) — A fire was put out Thursday morning at the Amtrak station in Minot after firefighters were informed of smoke coming from the back of a dining car.
Crews responded to a call at 9:15 a.m. at the Amtrak station in Minot, where a battery compartment on a train had caught fire, according to the Minot Fire Department. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames using a fire extinguisher, without the need for a hose line.
Everyone was safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
